Yasemin Kireç

Board Member, Founding Member

Yasemin, CEO of Anadolu Meraları, was born in 1982 in Istanbul. After graduating from V.K.V. Koç Private High School, she pursued studies in sociology and anthropology. While continuing her corporate career, she cultivated her interest in permaculture, natural living, and ecology, which she had been exploring as an amateur since her university years. She received "Introduction to Permaculture" and "Permaculture Design Certificate" training from the Turkey Permaculture Research Institute. In the summer of 2015, she left corporate life and completed the "Holistic Management" training at Anadolu Meraları's practice site in Çanakkale.

Splitting her time between Gökçeada, Çanakkale, and occasionally Istanbul, Yasemin maintains 50 beehives as a beekeeper. She actively participates in various initiatives, facilitates local producer-consumer meetups, and contributes to sharing knowledge and experience. Since 2015, she has collaborated with the Buğday Association on numerous projects. To date, she has organized and conducted training and events for adults, youth, and children, focusing on Introduction to Ecological Living, Ecological Living Practices in the City, Urban Gardening, Seeds, Beekeeping, Deep Listening, and Nature Awareness.
