Dr. Ezgi Ediboğlu

Ezgi Ediboğlu completed her undergraduate studies at Istanbul University Faculty of Law between 2009 and 2013. She undertook her legal internship at Aykul & Topçu Law Office, which provides legal consultancy to TEMA Foundation and specializes in environmental law.
Ediboğlu joined the Public Law Master's program at Marmara University but paused her education after receiving the YLSY scholarship from the Ministry of National Education, moving to the United Kingdom. Between 2015 and 2020, she completed her Master's and Ph.D. studies at the University of Aberdeen Faculty of Law. Her Master's thesis focused on the Paris Agreement under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Her Ph.D. dissertation discussed potential intergovernmental methods for transferring environmentally sound technologies.
Her primary academic research areas include the UN climate change regime, international institutions, and the transfer of environmentally sound technologies as a component of international climate change regulations. After completing her Ph.D., she worked as a lecturer in Turkey for nearly two years. During this time, she also served as a 2021/22 Mercator-İPM Fellow at Istanbul Policy Center, conducting a project titled "Technological Roadmap for Combatting Climate Change: A Proposal for Turkey."
Currently, Ediboğlu is a senior researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition. She continues her engagement with civil society organizations in Turkey.
